If you’ve been curious about impact investing or are new to it, and you’d like to meet others on a similar journey, please join our "Impact Investing" group.

For both men and women, this group will focus on learning how to invest charitable capital in business ventures. Using The Table, a newly developed curriculum by Impact Foundation, this group will examine biblical principles and foundational concepts; discuss how to create an investment thesis, build an investment portfolio and track and measure impact; and hear mock pitches from several companies and analyze opportunities together. The content is accessible for those who may feel intimidated by financial jargon, but want to give it a try.

This is a chance to learn from and alongside Gathering participants, including some who are experienced and passionate impact investors.

Co-Hosts: Michele Dudley, Founder of BraveWorks & Board Member of The Gathering, and Dana Wichterman, Co-Founder of the Oakton Foundation & Gathering participant

Who belongs? Men and women who are curious or new to impact investing

When do we meet? Once a week for 6 weeks, virtually, for 90 min, on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5 pm ET, starting on October 1, followed by an in-person reunion at our next Annual Conference in September 2025.

Criteria to join our community events

  • Follow Jesus as Lord and Savior.
  • Give at least $200,000 a year to Christian causes. Though the number isn't a rigid threshold, it represents a proxy for the types of people who are asking and wrestling with the same questions around wise stewardship, giving well, avoiding pitfalls, raising the next generation, allocating resources, defining a family legacy, etc. People come to The Gathering to pursue relationships with peers who are exploring similar issues with a measure of humility, vulnerability, and trust.
