At a time of grave uncertainty around the Trump Administration’s new immigration plans, we’ll aim to understand the implications for refugees who are fleeing danger, asylum-seekers at our borders, economic migrants seeking work, and immigrants who crossed the border illegally who face deportations. Two experts who lead nonprofit organizations at the forefront of the immigration issue will share their perspectives on current events and what may lie ahead. We’ll hear from and pose questions to:

Myal spoke at our Annual Conference in 2021 as the U.S. was withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, creating a life-threatening predicament and tumultuous evacuation for Afghans who had worked for the American government. World Relief, the humanitarian arm of the National Association of Evangelicals, is one of a handful of national nonprofits that works with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to resettle refugees in America.

Jennie visited our conference last September and introduced on the Main Stage the mother-and-daughter from Honduras who had successfully gained asylum after a harrowing escape from violent gangs. The National Immigration Forum runs a program called Bibles, Badges, and Business for Immigration Reform – “a network of moderate and conservative faith, law enforcement, national security, business and other leaders working to establish a new consensus on the value of immigrants and immigration to America.”
