As some of you know, I enjoy taking pictures – and then finding something to say. Here are 14 from the past year that I hope will provoke some thoughts.

Book? Oh, yes, the book. I have an editor coming here at the end of January to see if there is something we can pull out of all that’s been written. We’ll see.

Kerry, thank you for that! I think January is when I’ll begin to put together a book of photos and excerpts from some of what I’ve written over the years.

Fred- The pictures are magnificent. The baseball one is my favorite. If I could buy that from you I would. Happy New Years. Maybe 2019 will be the year our paths cross again. Best- Joe Leininger

I am shocked, shocked that a Baptist would post a picture of bar glasses! Don’t you know this can lead to dancing?

Fred, thank you for again your sharing photos as a year-end reflection. They are brilliant with God’s generosity toward us… His magnificent creation, the ability of man to think and build things that only mimic God’s beauty in the smallest of ways and yet are rightfully celebrated, and life’s joys and sorrows which draw us closer to Jesus and to each other if we allow it. Peace and joy to all!

Glad you’re meeting with an editor so that your work can find a wider audience…also, a greater measure of permanency–your grands and great grand kids will be so glad you did, as will the rest of us. Well done!

Love the photos and quotes. Thanks for sharing. I agree about the action in the baseball photo. Did you notice the poor guy in the background missing the whole thing while he is on his “phone”. Telling of our society today – How much action and life is missed with our heads in our mobile devices?
