Fighting the Lord's Resistance Army

Invisible ChildrenLast week, U.S. President Barack Obama ordered about 100 American troops to Africa to help remove the extremely violent leaders of the Lord's Resistance Army. This issue is not new to the hearts of the people of The Gathering. Many have supported the work of groups fighting for justice in and around Uganda. One of these important groups is Invisible Children, who brought the horrific story to our attention at The Gathering conference several years ago. As International Justice Mission President Gary Haugen tweeted last week, "This is big news...I'm grateful for the voices of bipartisan support. It's the right thing to do...So thankful for the faithful hardworking friends at Invisble Children for their role in making this happen."
